A Day in the West Country

We had another beautiful weather day here in England as we made our way out to the West Country and the ancient sites of Stonehenge and Bath.We first visited the ancient and mysterious Stonehenge where we learned about the different theories surrounding the construction of the monument on Salisbury Plain.

We then visited the Georgian city of Bath, famous for its ancient Roman Baths built on a natural hot spring and for its late 19th century architecture and home of the novelist Jane Austen.

We finished the day returning to London for a lasagna dinner and a visit to King's Cross Rail Station and the location of Harry Potter's "Platform 9 3/4". All in all we had an excellent day!
